I always enjoy shooting weddings in different towns and new venues, and a shocking 75% of my weddings this year are in places and/or venues that I’ve never been before. As my fellow photographers would no doubt concur, in Oklahoma, that’s somewhat unusual. ;)
Sarah and Shannon’s wedding being in Guthrie was a special treat for me because I got to work with many of my favorite Oklahoma wedding vendors. Also, it was my first time shooting at the Sand Plum Event Center (Victor Building in downtown Guthrie), which had recently finished renovations to its ballroom and is now undergoing renovations to the rest of the building. The ballroom was spectacular! If you’re still looking for a reception venue and you need something in or near Edmond, be sure to check out the Sand Plum.
