I love having the opportunity to do an engagement session with my couples because it gives me a chance to get a feel for their personalities, how they are together as a couple, and how they react in front of the camera. And in return, the couple gets a sense of my personality and how I work behind the camera. Kali and Josh were awesome to work with. I could tell from their engagement session and Kali’s bridal session that working with them on their wedding day was going to be a real treat. They are both laid-back, genuinely nice people with great friends and close, loving families. Everyone who took part in their wedding regarded me as a friend (even as I stuck my big ol’ cameras in their faces! LOL). Soooo sweet!
Everything on the wedding day went smoothly, thanks to coordinator Brenda Owens of Cathy Johnson Weddings. The floral arrangements were gorgeous and the wedding cakes were scrumptious! Oak Tree Country Club always does an amazing catering job, and I could seriously down their signature punch all day. I’ve pretty much decided that it’s the best wedding punch in Oklahoma, and photographers should know….most of us are cake and punch connoisseurs! hehehe.. Probably the most popular elements of the evening were the Oklahoma Photobooth and a surprise appearance by Pistol Pete. Here are many of the vendors who made Kali and Josh’s wedding a success:
Wedding coordinator – Brenda Owens with Cathy Johnson Weddings | Florist – Trochta’s Flowers | Videographer – Video Legacy | Bridal gown – JJ Kelly
Bridal shoes – Meg Guess Couture | Cake – Rosebeary’s Designs | DJ – Ace Mobile Music | Rentals – Marianne’s Rentals
Bridesmaid dresses – Bridal Showroom | Reception venue & caterer – Oak Tree Country Club | Miscellaneous – Oklahoma Photobooth
Below are some of my favorite shots from the wedding day and a couple from Kali’s bridal session. A lot more images from the wedding can be seen in the slideshow available at the end of this post.
